GoldDust from Paddy Power Bingo
Q1: Tell us a little bit about you.
I’m a 36 year old mum of 3, and married to a wonderful chef who I love very dearly, but then who wouldn’t lol! I have all my food cooked for me, a bit spoilt, well I think I am. I’m very much a family person, I enjoy days out with my kids, going swimming, bowling, cinema, love my dog Millie and I also have two fish Bertie and Gertie.
Q2: How long have you been a Chat Host?
I have been a chat host for two and a half years now, and loving it!
Q3: How did you become a Chat Host?
I was a player on a site and I found it comical. I enjoyed the chat room and CMs so much that I decided I would love to try it. So I applied for a job as a CM and got it straight away.
Q4: What do you like most about the job?
I think it has to be being in the room on a Friday, this is my fave by far, I have a special Naughty Night (Paddy’s Passion Wagon) and roomies leave me in tears! I can’t type through the laughter, they’re great and I love being around them. It’s a family feeling you get from everyone.
Q5: What is the worst part of the job?
Leaving a really good room when they are so hyped up, it’s sort of ok that my fun is over now I’ve got to go, but I really want to stay with them.
Q6: Which are your favorite chat room games?
My all time favourite is Donkey Derby, and I also love the tourneys, and passion games are great fun too.
Q7: What is the funniest thing that has ever happened whilst you have been in a chat room?
I think when the special guest (Paddy Power himself!) popped into the room and players wanted to marry him and threw their undies at him. The poor man didn’t know what to say, made me laugh all night!
Q8: What makes a good Chat Host?
A good chat host is someone who greets the players as they come in, are able to assist them with whatever query they might have and make new players feel welcome. They have also got to be pleasant and polite and treat them like they would like to be treated if they were a roomie.
Q9: How would you like to see online bingo (as a whole) develop?
Online bingo is such a massive industry now; I have seen it go from strength to strength. I think surveys asking players their needs and what they like would help online bingo become even better. Who better to ask than the players themselves?
Q10: Any other comments that you'd like to add about being a Chat Host?
I think the world of my roomies, each and everyone who comes in becomes a part of the room. It’s not just about sitting there and playing games; it’s about being there when players need you. It’s also about team work; I have a great team, so thank-you GoldenGirl, Jasper, Crystal, Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald for all being my team buddies.
