Q1: Tell us a little bit about you.

Melissa from Alphabingo.net My name is Melissa, but I answer to pretty much anything...melly mellypoo smellymelly lol I'm from West Virginia (yes i do have teeth !!! lol) I have 2 children. I love to laugh, have fun, open minded and I love to talk!!! I enjoy reading and cooking.

Q2: How long have you been a Chat Host?

Almost 4 years now. WOW, where does the time go???

Q3: How did you become a Chat Host?

I have always loved playing land bingo and online, I thought why not try for a job working doing what i enjoy... and I was lucky enough to be given the chance.

Q4: What do you like most about the job?

That it is a very rewarding job, I’ve met so many people in chat, they become like your family. You spend a lot of time with the roomies, you get to know them and know their families from the stories they share with you.

Q5: What is the worst part of the job?

Well the worse part for me is having to be the bad guy sometimes; negativity in chat brings everyone down. Being in chat is for fun, chat games, laughs etc so having to boot someone that isn’t being a roomie player would have to be the worse for me.

Q6: Which are your favorite chat room games?

I like all the chat games, well except the ones that make my eyes cross trying to catch the numbers. My excuse for that is I’m blonde lol. I like to talk and I get caught up in that, hard to type and watch for those balls sometimes!!!

Q7: What is the funniest thing that has ever happened whilst you have been in a chat room?

One time I was having issues staying in chat. I kept having connectivity issues with my internet provider. I was in and out like a yo-yo, testing my patience lol. I came back in chat, I was typing away, the roomies didn't answer and i was like what the?!?!?!? The roomies all ganged up on me, making me believe they couldn't see me typing... I was at my wits end thinking what's going on I was typing and typing, tis a good thing I wasn't typing what I was thinking, I’d had to boot myself!!!

Q8: What makes a good Chat Host?

I think you definitely have to have a good sense of humor, be funny, and be able to joke around. Being responsible and on time, after all this online job is a "real" job just as if you worked outside your home. You really have to enjoy being around people, all types. Be a good listener and able to read typonese... I love the typos lol

Q9: How would you like to see online bingo (as a whole) develop?

Being able to play from your own home, enjoying what you like without so many issues of funding etc.

Q10: Any other comments that you'd like to add about being a Chat Host?

I'm very proud to be chosen for the featured CM and a big THANK YOU to Alphabingo's players and management for making Alphabingo a superb site!!!!!
