Q1: Tell us a little bit about you.
My name is Sarah I’m 23 I live in the Midlands. I have one 6 year old daughter who is already in training to carry on the bingo family tradition. I’m a quiet shy and reserved person... well I had to try. If you believe that you will believe anything lol.
Q2: How long have you been a Chat Host?
I’ve been a chat host for just over a year now and still loving every minute.
Q3: How did you become a Chat Host?
I was out of work and playing online bingo to pass the time. I sat here one day and thought yeah I could do that. I applied and was given the chance and haven’t looked back since.
Q4: What do you like most about the job?
You meet so many different people from different backgrounds. You spend more time with them than their partners do with most of them, so find out a lot and hear some great stories.
Q5: What is the worst part of the job?
Kicking players from chat. Never like doing it but sometimes it has to be done. Everyone is there to have fun but on the odd occasion you get someone that isn’t.
Q6: Which are your favorite chat room games?
Keno is great on a Monday because everyone gets involved. Same with Derby. I get to be a tipster and give the betting odds in my own unique way, even though it makes no difference at all. I just do it.
Q7: What is the funniest thing that has ever happened whilst you have been in a chat room?
Well... There’s a typo book running on me by one of my regular players, you know who you are TINNIE!!!!!
I don’t typo often (cough cough) ermmmm well not that often, honest. Think it will take until my retirement to fill this book. Ok maybe the end of the month lol
Here’s a few of my classics;
2 other classics of mine are lamooo = the French cow and lamasooo = the French masseur.
Q8: What makes a good Chat Host?
Being able to evaluate situations. Knowing when to say enough’s enough, the joke is going to far. Taking a bit of stick, 'cause as soon as you make the smallest mistake you will be reminded of it daily lol. Good sense of humour is a must. Always be friendly and welcoming no matter what is going on in your life offsite.
Q9: How would you like to see online bingo (as a whole) develop?
Compulsory playing. Bingo breaks to all that work whether it be full or part time. A new law that says all people over 18 should play at least 10 hours of bingo a day minimum. Chat game education at schools. 45 minute a day lesson on the art of picking good chat game numbers. Think we should all write to Gordon Brown and see what he thinks pmsl.
Q10: Any other comments that you'd like to add about being a Chat Host?
I thank Robin for the opportunity she has given me and thank my roomies for putting up with me the cyberbingo angel pmsl.
One last thing to say. SLIPPER!!!!!!!!!!!! (To find out what I’m on about pop in and see me some time).
All the team here at CMOTY would like to say a big 'TY' to Sara.
