Starbrite from Island Bingo
Q1: Tell us a little bit about you.
First, I am honored to be here! In my early fifties, like so many members of online gaming, I have a chronic illness. In my case it is Progressive Multiple Sclerosis. I am often in the hospital, but my employers are the best I have ever known and it does not affect my position. Our site members are fantastic for compassion!
Q2: How long have you been a Chat Host?
Approximately seven years! Wow, where did the time go?
Q3: How did you become a Chat Host?
I liked to chat more than to play bingo! It was noticed, lol.
Q4: What do you like most about the job?
Meeting so many wonderful people from all over the world, different personalities, life stories. Online is only a beginning, many of my global roomies and I have met in person!
Q5: What is the worst part of the job?
I haven't found it yet, but I think if I did find it I wouldn't be a host, lol.
Q6: Which are your favorite chat room games?
At Island Bingo, I and so many depositors love Winky's Wheel, that rascal!
Q7: What is the funniest thing that has ever happened whilst you have been in a chat room?
I made a typo on a players name which rhymes with witch! The room roared for at least fifteen minutes, I was so embarassed! The rest of the week, when I arrived in chat, I was ragged mercilessly. I will never live it down!
Q8: What makes a good Chat Host?
In general, a good people person who likes to listen as well as talk.
Q9: How would you like to see online bingo (as a whole) develop?
Bingo and deposits should be legal globally, and shutins who have no other entertainment or path to friendships, should not feel excluded from life.
Q10: Any other comments that you'd like to add about being a Chat Host?
Island Bingo is always in search of members who think they may like to be game leaders or chat hosts. I love training hosts as part of my job! To show members they have skills and talents, watch them develop self-esteem, is a great satisfaction in my life!
