Simon from Jacks Live Bingo

Q1: Tell us a little bit about you.

Simon

My name is Simon. I am originally from Cardiff but now live in London, I have a three year old boy named Reece, and am always looking for babysitters if there are any offers out there in bingoland? I love all sports especially Football and Rugby. My team is Watford.

Q2: How long have you been a Chat Host?

I have been an interactive chat host for 2 ½ years

Q3: How did you become a Chat Host?

I was presenting for an online tv channel (Yourkindatv.com) when the SJ Bingo opportunity came up…I popped along to the studio and was so impressed by game, game technology and work environment that I jumped at the chance when a job offer was made.

Q4: What do you like most about the job?

The way in which we can interact with the players LIVE via the chat box, it makes for a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere…especially when someone wins big

Q5: What is the worst part of the job?

If I’m honest, the long hours….This means that I get to spend less time with my family than I would like.

Q6: Which are your favorite chat room games?

I love the Pictionary game we play…I’m not the best drawer in the world so how any of the players guess what I’m putting on paper amazes me.

Q7: What is the funniest thing that has ever happened whilst you have been in a chat room?

If there is one thing that can make me corpse on camera it’s a player’s user name. These are created by the player before they get to play the live game, so we never get to see them unless the players talk in chat or, win a game. I was calling a full house game when the winner flashed up with the user name i124Q….Now, can’t see anything wrong with that? Read it again…..And Again…..Geddit? I did (not litteraly). As soon as it clicked I just couldn’t keep a straight face through the next game….Clever, but V rude…the player had to change it.

Q8: What makes a good Chat Host?

Honesty, a keen eye for detail. Good knowledge of your product, and a firm hand when needed but most of all…A sense of humour is a must!!!

Q9: How would you like to see online bingo (as a whole) develop?

There is still massive potential for the industry. Bingo on ipods and mobile phones would be cool. Hopefully these will be with us in the not to distant future. Fair gaming for all should be promoted across the board, lets all play…but play fair!!!

All the team here at CMOTY would like to say a big 'TY' to Simon.

If you'd like to nominate someone to be our 'Featured CM' next month please mail Richard.
